Haeundae Beach |
Many people think of Haeundae, when it comes to Busan. No doubt Haeundae is the most popular spot for tourists in Busan. Every summer so many people come down to Haeundae for holiday. The beach looks very modern as there are many buildings and hotels around the beach. |
Beomeosa Daewoongjeon (the main temple) |
Priest Myoheon built this building in 1614 and Priest Heungbo repaired in 1713. The government designated it as a treasure in 1966 and repaired between 1969 and 1970. The size of this building is not that big but the structure of column and eaves is delicate and beautiful. So this is a typical Buddhist building in the middle of Chosun era. This graceful structure is one of the best wooden buildings in Busan. |
Gwangan Bridge(Diamond Bridge) |
The 7.42km-long Gwangan Grand Bridge is the country s longest suspension bridge where the endlessly wide open indigo-blue sea, the Oryuk Islets, Dongbaek Island and the Dalmaji (Moon-viewing) Hill are seen at a glance. The night lightings provide people with the magnificent views combined with the Gwangalli Beach at night. |
Dongnae Spa |
The Dongnae Spa, a historic spa that began to be developed in the late 17th century, provides a weak-saline water, or alkaline solution of salt, which abounds in chlorine ion. It is remarkably effective for many diseases such as a neuralgia, gastroenteric disorders and skin diseases. There are about 30 small and large spa baths including the large-scale Hurshimchung. Full of a number of tourist attractions such as Geumgang Park, a botanical garden, an amusement park and an eateries town, the Dongnae area is frequented by tourists. |
Dongbaek Island |
In old days, it was completely an isle completely separate from the land, but it is now connected to the land as times passes, due to the heaps of deposits for a long time. In the peak is a statue of Sir Cho, Chi Won who was the greatest scholar at the end of Silla Kingdom and his epitaph. Along the circurlar road is Haeundae seokgak (Stone Carving). For those who like to go for a walk, there is a quiet walking path toward the peak. A Mermaid Statue is on the rock toward the sea, a legendary statue about Princess Hwangok s story. Besides the attractions, Dongbaek Island is most famous for its fishing ground, so fishing maniac come fishing nationwide. |
