The IBS Science Culture Center is an avenue for citizens and scientists to come together for scientific and cultural communication through a diverse range of science engagement programs.

Operated by the Institute for Basic Science (IBS), South Korea’s first dedicated basic science research institute founded with the vision of making discoveries for humanity and society, the Science Culture Center is a platform for the general public and scientists to interact and communicate through science and culture. It is located in the historic 1993 World Expo site overlooking Gap Stream, the lifeline of the city; and Hanbit Tower and Expo Bridge, both iconic monuments of the Daejeon Expo. Situated at the heart of the former Expo site, the three-story cultural complex strives to revive local science culture where you can see, learn, and experience science.
